Comparison

Checky vs Standuply

Standuply is a standup bot for Slack and Teams with voice and video answers. Checky is a web and email check-in tool you can also host yourself.

In short

Standuply runs standups, retrospectives and Planning Poker in Slack and Microsoft Teams and supports voice and video answers. Its help centre lists Team from $1.50 and Business from $3.50 per user per month, tiered by team size. We couldn't compute an exact price for 25 or 100 users, so the tables say “unknown”. SSO is an Enterprise feature.

Checky focuses on recurring check-ins with expected answers, KPIs, absences and compliance tracking, answered in the browser, by email or from ChatGPT and Claude. You can self-host it with a one-time licence.

Checky fits better if …

  • You want a published, flat price
  • Self-hosting or a one-time licence matters
  • Absences and holidays should pause check-ins
  • You want SSO without an Enterprise contract

Standuply fits better if …

  • Answers should happen inside Slack or Teams
  • You want voice or video standups
  • You run retros and Planning Poker in the same tool

Switching from Standuply to Checky

  1. 1

Export your reports from Standuply (XLSX or PDF) and keep them as an archive. Checky can't import Standuply data yet.

  2. 2

Pick where Checky runs: hosted at yourteam.checky.team (14-day trial, no card), on your own Cloudflare account (one-click deploy) or with Docker on your own server.

  3. 3

Recreate your questions as checks: schedule (e.g. weekdays at 9:00), type (yes/no, rating, text or KPI), expected answer and reaction window.

  4. 4

Invite your team or connect SSO (Google, Microsoft, OIDC or SAML) and verify your email domain so colleagues join automatically.

  5. 5

Add absences and public holidays so nobody gets asked while they're off.

  6. 6

Run both tools in parallel for a week or two, then switch Standuply off. Your Checky data exports as one SQLite file whenever you want to move between hosted and self-hosted.
